Acceptable Use Policy

1. Purpose and Scope

This Acceptable Use Policy explains what you may and may not create, publish, or share with Comistitch. It applies to every prompt, story, script, character description, reference image, cover, comic page, and published comic made with the service, and it forms part of our Terms of Service.

Comistitch is a general-audience comic creation tool. We built it for storytelling, and we do not allow it to be used to produce adult, abusive, or unlawful material.

2. Prohibited Content

Sexual content. You may not generate or publish content that is sexually explicit, pornographic, or sexually suggestive, or that depicts nudity (NSFW). This includes erotic or fetish content, sexualised depictions of any character, and attempts to obtain such content through euphemism, coded wording, or partial descriptions.

Minors. You may not generate or publish any sexual, suggestive, abusive, or exploitative content involving a person who is or appears to be under 18, in any art style, including anime, manga, chibi, or cartoon styles. This is a zero-tolerance rule.

Real people, face-swap and deepfakes. You may not create face-swap, face manipulation, or deepfake content of real people, content that falsely presents a real person as saying or doing something, or any sexual, defamatory, or deceptive depiction of a real person. You may not use a real person's likeness without their permission.

Hate and harassment. You may not generate content that attacks or demeans people because of race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or other protected characteristics, or content designed to harass, bully, stalk, or threaten an individual.

Extreme violence. You may not generate extreme graphic violence, gore, torture, mutilation, or content that glorifies cruelty. Stylised, non-graphic action and conflict that serve a story are allowed.

Illegal and dangerous content. You may not generate content that promotes or facilitates illegal activity, terrorism, violent extremism, self-harm, or suicide, or that provides instructions for causing harm.

Intellectual property. You may not generate or publish content that infringes trademarks, copyrights, or other rights, including recognisable characters, brands, or copyrighted works used without authorisation, or content that deliberately mimics the distinctive style of an identifiable living artist.

3. Prohibited Conduct

You may not try to bypass, probe, or disable our safeguards, for example by rewording a blocked prompt to slip the same request through, splitting a prohibited request across several prompts, or hiding it in uploaded images or reference material.

You may not use automated means (scraping, bots) to access the service, or reverse-engineer or extract the source code of the platform, without our prior written consent.

4. How We Enforce This Policy

We use several layers. Prompts are checked by our own content filter on our servers, and the text that passes is then screened by third-party prompt moderation before any credits are charged and before any content is generated. Our AI providers also apply their own safety filters. If a check cannot be completed, the request is stopped instead of being allowed through.

A blocked request is not generated and does not consume credits. Every blocked request is logged with an audit trail, and repeated attempts are reviewed.

Published comics carry a report button, and we review reports and may remove or restrict content at our discretion.

5. Consequences of Violations

Enforcement is progressive: the first violation is blocked and warned, a second results in a 7-day suspension, and a third results in permanent termination without refund of remaining credits.

We terminate accounts immediately and without warning for sexual content involving minors, non-consensual intimate imagery, and content promoting terrorism. We may report unlawful content to the relevant authorities and to our payment partners.

6. Reporting a Violation

If you see content that breaks this policy, use the report button on the comic page, or email support@comistitch.com with a link to the content. We aim to review every report within 48 hours.

7. Changes and Contact

We may update this policy as the service and the law change. Continued use after an update means you accept it.
