A retired night watchman of the walrus kind, Hugo drifts through the day in a quilted blue dressing gown and a floppy nightcap with a pom-pom. He nurses one enormous mug of something warm and loses the thread of every sentence halfway. His tusks are short, his moustache is not. All he wants is five more minutes.
